Use this page to set up and maintain combinations of job grades and rate steps to be associated with employee benefit groups.
You may set up job grades for annual amounts, hourly amounts and salary (pay period) amounts, with or without pay steps. Job grades without pay steps may be overridden in the employee's Jobs-Payroll section in Workforce Administration.
Job grades that already have been defined display in a
grid, with each row of the grid corresponding to a job grade.
Data is sorted alphabetically by Grade Type, followed by Grade Code
The bottom border of the grid contains a series of buttons. To see what a button does, click its image below:
To add a job grade to the grid, click the New button, located in the bottom border of the grid. To edit a job grade, click the edit icon (
), located in the cell immediately to the left of the Grade Type. In both cases, the Grade Step Entry page will open, containing the fields and pay step grid necessary for adding or editing job grade data.
Note: If the job grade has been used in a payroll, the data cannot be edited.
To delete a grade, click the delete icon (
), located in the far-left cell of the corresponding row. A dialog will ask you to confirm the delete.
Note: A job grade that has been used in a payroll cannot be deleted.
